RESEARCH - DEVELOPMENT - INNOVATION

This division of the company is the most admired department, not for the work it has done but the path taken to develop and innovate storage methods, products and technology to make viable and sustainable solutions in a country which has done very little research in post harvest handling of the products. 

Monitored closely and perosnally by the directors of the company, the main focus of this divison when it started was to experiment with the storability of Indian fruits and vegetables in controlled atmosphere conditions, how they react to different atmosphere and their potential shelf life. We have been moderately successful in understanding the Indian post harvest scenario which ultimately drives the storage and conditions. All findings are documented and continous research is being carried out to ascertain storage conditons necessary for extending the shelf life of fresh fruits and vegetables. 

The activity is not just restricted to post harvest handling but also extends to energy saving techniques, local development of specialized equipment, development of efficient and economical storage systems, fruit packaging, handling, testing and much more. 

Development is a continous process and best achieved when learnings and findings are shared across all stakeholders and collective responsibility is taken to ensure growth. We are more than willing to collaborate with any individual, institution or corporation in doing joint work for innovation and development and would also be glad to share our findings in all these years.
